Senator Chie Alarms Over Bad Road Conditions On Bushrod Island

 Grand Kru County Senator Albert Chie, has alarmed over bad road conditions from Gabriel Tucker Bridge leading to St. Paul Bridge on Bushrod Island, Montserrado County.

Senator Chie stated that the bad road is causing serious harm to vehicles and passengers using the road on a daily basis.

The Grand Kru County Lawmaker made the statement Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Plenary, as he urged the Liberian Senate to summon the Minister of Public Works, Roland Giddings, to answer to the concerns.

According to him, Minister Giddings should appear before the Senate’s Plenary on Thursday September 12, 2024, to comment on the status of the road leading from Gabriel Tucker Bridge to the St. Paul Bridge. He emphasized that the bad road conditions are creating serious problems for the road users.

Senator Chie asserted that the appearance of the Public Works Minister before the Senate’s Plenary will lead the way to ensuring that the rehabilitation will be done in the coming dry season.

Senator Chie emphasized that the bad roads situation has been a major challenge confronting the country, adding that it should be addressed.
