MONROVIA, July 15 (LINA) – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has disclosed that it has facilitated a medical trip for Inspector Morhafee M. Jabateh, a victim of the Totota-Tanker explosion.

According to a press statement from the LNP dated July 15, 2024, the decision comes after Inspector Jabateh’s worsening medical condition as a result of his heroic response to a gas tanker accident in Totota, Bong County, on December 26, 2023, which tragically resulted in the death of several persons and injuries to others.

The statement said that Mr. Jabateh, during his departure to India at the Robert International Airport lauded the LNP authority for the decision to take him out of the country for advanced medical treatment.

According to the statement, Officer Jabateh indicated that the action on the part of the LNP is a clear motivation for all junior officers, citing that he hopes the LNP will continue in such a direction. Inspector Jabeteh encouraged other officers to remain committed to their jobs.

Inspector Jabateh extended his thanks and appreciation to the Government of Liberia through the Liberia National Police (LNP) Inspector General, Greggory O. W. Coleman and all other officials of the LNP for facilitating his trip to India for further treatment.
