The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) held a one-day intensive training session for its Legal Officers, Prosecutors, Investigators, and Compliance Personnel.

The training, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Section, was facilitated by Cllr. Augustine C. Fayiah, Solicitor General of the Republic of Liberia. The session focused on strengthening technical competencies in Chain of Custody Protocols, Evidence Management and Legal Standards, Case Preparation, Courtroom Strategy, and included practical exercises and a simulated case review.
Opening the program, LACC Executive Chairperson Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe expressed gratitude to INL for its consistent and invaluable support. She underscored the importance of not only enforcing anti-corruption laws but also building institutional skills and professional resilience to ensure justice is served.
Representing the U.S. Embassy, Mr. Abubakar Zaid, Justice Officer, emphasized the global impact of corruption and the power of capacity building. “Corruption has a devastating impact around the world. And we also know that with the right training, skills, and teamwork, you can stand strong against it. INL will continue walking with you in this effort, because corruption must have no place in Liberia,” he stated.
The training ended with a moment of reflection, renewed determination, and strengthened commitment, leaving the LACC team better equipped to fight corruption and uphold justice in Liberia.
