Liberia's Vice President Jeremiah Koung has provided 15 scholarships to youths in various disciplines at the Grand Kru Technical College.

Mr. James Jeh Doe, Finance Officer of the college, disclosed that the Vice President's kind gesture was made public during a regular update dialogue with educational stakeholders and the county legislative caucus held in Monrovia recently.

He made the disclosure at a day-long orientation ceremony held at the Barclayville Central High School main campus on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Mr. Doe said the Vice President educational initiatives will benefit ten female and five male students attending the learning institution within the county and will be a continued intervention.

The Grand Kru Technical College Finance Officer said that fees for the beneficiaries have been deposited within the institution account by the office of the Vice President.

He admonished students attending the county's community college to cherish the scholarship to attract more educational support to the institution to benefit other unprivileged youths of the County.

“To you the students, we open the door to you, to come and register without a dime," he said.

The College Finance Officer urged desiring students to serve as goodwill ambassadors for the school to ensure more enrollment.
