Government calls on all workers to remain at their duty posts and carry on their regular work activities on tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11th

The Government of Liberia denies and disclaims information circulating on social media and on the airwaves that it has instructed workers at the Internal Affairs Ministry to abandon work tomorrow Wednesday, September 11th and assemble at the Roberts International Airport to welcome the President of Liberia back to the country.

This statement refutes any circular issued to workers at the Internal Affairs Ministry or at any agency of the Executive Branch of the Government, and is issued on the instructions of the current Chair of the Cabinet, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Republic of Liberia, Cllr N. Oswald Tweh.

His Excellency, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia and entourage will arrive in the country tomorrow at 5pm at the Roberts International Airport and will immediately head to the Effort Baptist Church in Paynesville for a brief thanksgiving service. Attendance at this service, which is after regular working hours, is purely voluntary and discretional.

The Chair of the Cabinet thanks the rest of the Cabinet and the Government for remaining committed to the ARREST Agenda and for continuing to discharge their duties faithfully while the President has been away from the country.
