President Boakai Donates Modern Steel Armchairs To MCSS
 


MONROVIA, Nov. 19 (LINA) – In an effort to boost the educational system and enable a smooth learning environment for students, the Government of Liberia through President Joseph N. Boakai has donated 6,000 modern corrugated steel armchairs to the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS).

Disclosing this in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA), the Director of Communication at the MCSS, Samuel Nyenuh, noted that 22,500 new modern corrugated steel armchairs are expected in the country and will be used to replace the traditional outdated wooden chairs and desks.

He extended gratitude and appreciation to the Liberian leader for honoring his request by supplying the school system with modern corrugated armchairs as his birthday gift to the school. According to him, the chairs in question are the President's own way of demonstrating his unwavering support and commitment to improving the education sector in Liberia.

Nyenuh expressed his happiness for the donations, stressing that the chairs came few days after the Chinese government through its Embassy in Liberia, donated a huge assortment of food and nonfood items, including educational materials to the MCSS.

MCSS Communication Officer added that the Chinese government donated 300 bags of rice (25kg), 100 barrels of oil 20 (liters), 300 cans of milk powder (400g), 150 cans of beef (340g), including 50 Whiteboards, 100 whiteboard markers, 25 basketballs, and 25 footballs.
