Superintendent Duncan Craves Unity To Foster Development In Margibi

 The Superintendent of Margibi County, Madam Victoria Worlobah Duncan has called on citizens of Margibi County to unite and contribute to the developmental agenda of the county and the country at large.

Superintendent Victoria Worlobah Duncan said if there is no unity amongst the citizens and their leaders, it will be difficult to achieve any tangible development in Margibi County.

Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency-LINA on Friday at her office in Kakata, Superintendent Duncan said all the beautiful plans she has in place can only be realized when there is a consensus amongst the citizens and their leaders including the legislative caucus and the county administration.

"We are open to any positive suggestions from individuals and the public that could help in engendering the cause that will bring total and genuine peace and reconciliation to Margibi County", Superintendent Duncan said.

Also, the Margibi official extolled US Ambassador to Liberia, Mark Toner for his recent visit to the county to acquaint himself with situations there.

She said the visit of Ambassador Toner was very timely as they both discussed major issues concerning the developmental needs of Margibi County.

She revealed that during the meeting with Ambassador Toner, she appealed for funding for the development of the county that will benefit the citizenry.

“The county has been deeply divided over political lines since the recent elections that brought the Unity Party, Standard Bearer, H.E. Joseph Nyumah Boakai, to power,” she explained.

 Meanwhile, Superintendent Duncan has disclosed plans to renovate the County's guest house to be used as the county administration building.

She said the current administration building cannot provide office space for all line ministries and agencies, so the guest house is very spacious, with 20 rooms that will accommodate all when completed.

She said the County Planning Officer and other engineers are already assessing the building to do a Bill of Quantity and have it submitted to the county legislative caucus for approval.
