MONROVIA, July 11 (LINA) – The Director General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) Josiah F. Joekai, has assured the public that the current Employment Status Regularization Project will be marked by integrity and professionalism, as he highlights the significance of the process in minimizing waste and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations during the process.

“Today, I want to challenge you to remain focus and strong as you will be faced with challenges from ministries and agencies as you go through this entire Employment Status Regularization Project (ESRP),” Joakai told his employees.

The CSA boss further expressed explicit confidence in the team, stating that members of the team have demonstrated nationalism and patriotism from the onset of the project, despite the risk associated with the exercise.

Speaking in a brief commencement and deployment ceremony held at the agency recently, CSA Boss encouraged his workers, saying that if the project will work, it is because of the role they played in ensuring that the process is a success.

The ESRP exercise, according to Director Joekai, aims to achieve several goals, including identifying legitimate employees currently on the Government of Liberia payrolls, regularizing the statuses of civil servants who haven’t completed their Personnel Action Notices (PAN) as per the revised human resources policy manual, and collecting missing employee data to update payroll records.

He explained that the teams are assigned into regions such as: Region One which is referred to as Northern Liberia, includes Lofa, Nimba and Bong Counties. Region Two known as the Southeastern Liberia, includes Maryland, River Gee, Sinoe, Grand Kru and Grand Gedeh Counties.

Others are, region three, the South-Central Liberia, which include, Rivercess, Grand Bassa and Margibi Counties. Gbarpolu, Grand Cape Mount and Bomi Counties will be Region Four, known as the Western Liberia, while Urban/Rural Montserrado will serve those in Montserrado County.

On July 4, 2024, President Joseph N. Boakai launched the implementation of the employee physical verification and headcount process which will last for approximately 30 days across the country.
