Liberia’s First Lady Attends Women’s Empowerment Through Education Meeting
First Lady Mrs. Kartumu Y. Boakai has joined Africa First Ladies at the Women’s Empowerment Through Education Meeting held by the First Lady of China, Dr. Peng Liyuan, on the margins of the Forum On China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
During the conference, held Thursday, September 5, 2024, the First Lady of China, Peng Liyuan, emphasized the importance of women's education and the shared goals of China and Africa in advancing women's education to create a brighter future.
According to a dispatch from Beijing, she highlighted the exceptional contributions made by Chinese and African women through their hard work, wisdom, and dedication.
The event featured speeches from various participants, including the wife of Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, Marie Khone Faye, who expressed gratitude to Dr. Peng for her outstanding contributions to promoting the education of African girls and women.
The long-standing support and assistance from China in related fields were also acknowledged and appreciated.
