MONROVIA, June 25 (LINA) – The Civil Servants Agency of Liberia, (CSA) has honored President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as one of the longest serving public servants of the nation.
The honor by the CSA was bestowed on the president during the observance of Public Service Day 2024 during which time the entity recognized the crucial role and unwavering commitment of Public Servants across the country.
Speaking Monday June 24, 2024 at the celebration of Public Service Day 2024 at the Ministerial Complex, in Paynesville, the Director General of CSA Josiah F. Joekai noted that public servants are the foundation of every society.
According to him, this year’s celebration serves as a profound reminder of the dedication, integrity, and hard work that define the public service, recognizing the vital contributions of public servants who have worked tirelessly to ensure the effective functioning of government and the delivery of essential services.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister for Budget at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning Tanneh G. Brunson, was honored as the Best Public Servants, with Alfred Drosaye the Principal Administrative Officer at CSA was recognized as the best Civil Servant 2024.
“They are the ones who implement policies, provide services, and foster an environment of trust and efficiency. The dedication they exhibit daily is what helps build a more inclusive, effective, and responsive public service,” Director Joekai pointed out.
The CSA boss noted that this year’s theme underscores the importance of enhancing digital technologies to improve service delivery, increase transparency, and ensure that government operations are more efficient and accessible.
He applauded the honorees and stated that their service and contributions are exemplary and outstanding, adding that their dedication sets a high standard and serves as a testament of what they can achieve when they work together with purpose and passion.
“Let us not only use this occasion to celebrate, but to also recommit ourselves to the noble mission of public service. Together, we can build a more inclusive, effective and responsive public service that meets the needs of our people and helps shape a brighter future for all,” Director Joekai emphasized.
